A Clear Five-Step HVAC Process

From the first phone call to the day your new system kicks on, here’s exactly what working with FIME HVAC looks like. No surprises, no vague timelines, and no pressure at any point along the way.

Just a straightforward process refined over 40+ years of combined HVAC experience across Los Angeles County.

The Five Steps

A look at what happens from start to finish:

1. Evaluation

We start by visiting your home to assess the space and your needs in person. That means looking at room sizes, existing ductwork or wiring, insulation, window exposure, and how you actually use each part of the house. We ask questions, take measurements, and listen to what you’re hoping to solve. No recommendations get made until we understand the full picture.

2. System Recommendation

Once we’ve evaluated the space, we recommend the best solution for you. That might be a single mini split for one room, a multi-zone setup for the whole house, or a central air replacement matched to your existing ductwork. We explain why we’re suggesting what we’re suggesting, walk through the equipment options, and give you a clear written quote. You get the reasoning, not just a price.

3. Financing / Rebates

Before any work starts, we help you explore financing and rebate options that apply to your project. That includes walking through plans from our lending partners (GoodLeap, Synchrony, Snap Finance) and identifying which rebate programs you qualify for (HEEHRA, Go Zero, local utility programs). The goal is making sure you understand the full financial picture before you commit.

4. Installation

Once you’re ready to move forward, we schedule and complete the installation. Most standard jobs take 2-3 hours on average, though larger projects can take longer. Our crews show up on time, protect your floors and furniture, install per manufacturer specs and local code, and test the system thoroughly before leaving. The site gets cleaned up before we head out.

5. Warranty & Support

We stand behind our work. Every installation comes with labor and equipment warranties, and we’re available afterward for adjustments, questions, or maintenance. If something needs a follow-up, we come back. That’s the part most HVAC companies skip, and it’s the part that matters most for the long-term performance of your system.
